SAP Application Engineer - BTP ABAP

Responsibilities:

• Design and build cloud-ready SAP applications using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)

• Develop backend services using SAP CAP (Node.js/Java)

• Create and expose APIs using OData V4 and REST

• Integrate SAP S/4HANA systems with BTP services

• Build scalable, secure multi-tenant applications

• Collaborate on product design, architecture, and technical decisions

• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes

Requirements:

• 5–7 years of SAP ABAP development experience

• Strong experience with ABAP for Cloud / RAP

• Experience with SAP CAP framework

• Familiarity with SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry preferred)

• Experience building OData services and APIs

• Understanding of modern SAP extension patterns

• Ability to work independently in a remote setup

• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building SaaS or product-based solutions

• Knowledge of multi-tenant application design

• SAP Fiori Elements / UI5 experience

• Experience with PostgreSQL / HANA Cloud

• Node.js or Java backend development

• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
